Theme for December: Tell Me A Story

Hi friends!

Good god. What I learned from November's show:
- There is soooo much talent in the Twin Cities, it's.. crazy. Cray cray.
- Andy Crowley is amazing.
- I can't play a pattern on a keyboard after one cider. My life as a rock star will have to involve absolutely no motor control.
- Nels can sing!
- Troy can beatbox!
- We should all be listening to opera. Or seeing opera. Or going to see Shatzi (Laura Hynes) perform opera. And accompany herself. Good good god.

What's up for December? TELL ME A STORY!

Featuring interviews with:
- Local writer, producer, father, funny man and paella chef, Levi Weinhagen
- Internationally known birder, power geek and keeper of rabbits and celebrity bees, the Bird Chick, Sharon Steitler

***Now also with the loveliness of Tom Reed, Lounge-A-Saurus himself. W00t!! :)

All this, and improv by BOYTRON. Heck yes.

Thank you so much for an amazing year, friends. :)

Theme for November: RECITAL!

Dear friends,

The only problem with telling ghost stories in a haunted theater is that, AFTERWARDS, you get to hear the stories of the haunted as #@* basement in the Bryant Lake Bowl, and realize that there's certain rooms there that you never want to pass in front of again. brrrr...

So so many thanks to Alison Nowak and Taj Ruler for sharing their amazing and terrifying experiences. GAH! And to BOYTRON for making it all okay.

Next up: RECITAL!

Featuring music and stories from real life opera singer Laura Hynes, real life piano man Andrew Crowley, and real life awesome theater founder Nels Lennes.

Thursday Nov. 6th
10 p.m., doors at 9:30 p.m.
Bryant Lake Bowl
$6 adv, $8 day of show

W00t! Please join!

HOLY CRAPBALLS! FEBRUARY!!!

Yes. Yes indeed.

February's show was jawdropping. What we learned:
- Barb Abney is one of the most charming and lovely people in the Twin Cities
- All vibrators should be sports-team colored.
- A fog machine makes everything better

... and holy crap, AIR GUITAR. AIR GUITAR, people!

It was wonderful - - Many many thanks to Barb, the inestimable Courtney McLean and the astoundingly funny Meg Linafelter for their time, talents and delight. Awesome hugs to Boytron for making sense of it all.

Camilla takes a break for March and April, in preparation and mourning for upcoming royal wedding. (It's fine, really..) Possibly back in June for comments on the royal goings on.

As always, if you'd like to see someone interviewed by (on? by? on?) Camilla, please don't hesitate to let me know and I'll stalk them like mad.

Toots!

Theme for February: ROCK STARS!

>Hi friends! January's Funny Person show was great!

Dr. Jim Robinson of Table Salt Productions was my 'practice interview': we learned that time is a porcupine that curls up upon itself. Joseph Scrimshaw of Joking Envelope Productions taught us about Freud and Jonathan Coulton. Butch & Jill of Huge Theater told us about Vegas and how to make giant faces. Brian Beatty ate cake. And finally, BOYTRON kicked ass. SO MUCH ASS-KICKED!

I'm giddy for the next. Our theme for February is ROCKSTARS. And holy crap, we have rockstars!

- Barb Abney of 89.3 The Current!

- Courtney McClean, Rockstar Storyteller and founder of Naughty Billy

- Meg "Aireola" Linafelter, US Air Guitar national finalist

and TBA!

All of that, and improv by BOY TRON! HOLY CRAP! Come join us, friends!
